Too Many Email Addresses? Gmail to the rescue.

Over the years I have acquired quite a few email addresses. There is that old college address, that first AOL dialup address, hotmail, 3 or 4 from Internet service providers, and then there is your business address(es). Logging into all of these areas becomes such a waste of time anymore. Wouldn’t you like to have one email address that could control all of those accounts? Still let you send personal emails as well as business emails from one platform? Gmail has the answer.
In Gmail, you have the ability to check all of your email accounts; also, when you compose your emails, you can pick which email address your contact will see on the email you send them.  With the gmail system, you can send one email to your sister, with your preferred personal email account, and send another email from your work address to your boss, without ever logging out of your email client. When it comes to mobile systems, you may run into some issues, or not. If you are using an Android OS  enabled smart phone (powered by Google) you are good to go. If you are using an Iphone, be sure to using the gmail app or bookmark the gmail webpage  by opening it in the Safari web browser. Once at gmail,  you can hit the “+” button and click the add to homescreen page. Now you will have an nifty little button to open up your email right on your home screen. I suggest, at least for gmail, staying away from the Iphone mail system, if you are going to be sending from multiple addresses through one gmail account, as every thing you send from Iphone will be from the GMail account and not the account of your choosing.

Depending on the number of email address you have, it can take about 10 minutes, per account, to set up. If it is your first time, you may want to set aside a little extra time, just to get to know the gmail system. If all else fails, drop us an email and we can try to help out!

Happy Emailing!
