How much does a website cost?2017-10-17T10:07:01-06:00

The cost of a website can vary depending on various factors, just like the cost of a house may vary. Our website projects generally start in the $3,500 range for basic business sites and range upward depending on your unique needs. Obviously, the more you can invest the more you will get!

How long does it take to design and build a website?2017-10-17T10:04:56-06:00

The time it takes to produce a website depends on the size and complexity of your site and the quality of content that you have ready to go. A basic website typically takes around 4 weeks from beginning to end. Complex sites can take months to complete. For new complex sites, we use an MVP model, and get the most important and basic required information out in the world first, then continue to create new content and functionality over time. This gets SEO reputation building started and allows for the business to start to advertise their site.

Will my website work on mobile devices?2017-10-17T09:52:45-06:00

Absolutely! With the vast majority of users across the world using their phones and tablets to view the Internet, we make sure that all of our designs are mobile friendly and can be easily seen on virtually all smartphone and tablets as well as desktop computers and even televisions.

Do you do E commerce/Online Store websites?2017-10-17T09:51:34-06:00

Yes we do! E-commerce sites and online stores tend to take more time and have some special requirements needed for online payment. We can work with you as well as your credit card services to make your next online store available.

What is a Content Management System?2017-10-17T09:44:35-06:00

A Content Management System is a tool that allows you to maintain the pages of your website yourself, without the need for any technical skills. A CMS allows you to edit and add pages, images, products or blog entries to your website. No additional software is required – all you need is a web browser and an internet connection.

Here at SeeMe Media we build on the WordPress CMS for the majority of our builds.

Do you provide training?2017-10-17T09:42:49-06:00

Yes, we provide all our clients with training on updating the content on their website.

What does it take to maintain a website?2017-10-17T09:40:12-06:00

First, understand that websites are never done. The misnomer that you can build a website and just leave along. That it is just not the reality. You wouldn’t put up a roadside billboard and not maintain the framework, the structure, the electricity for viewing at night, insurance against a catastrophe, and the ad itself. Websites are no different.

Here are a few things you will need to maintain on a WordPress website excluding updating your content:

  1. URL ownership (yearly)
  2. Web hosting (yearly)
  3. Security Certifications (yearly)
  4. Language updates including PHP and MySQL (1-4 times a year)
  5. WordPress Core Updates (1-8 times a year)
    – Be sure to set aside time for if the plugin update breaks something to be able to fix it.
  6. Theme Updates (1-4 Times a year)
    – Be sure to set aside time for if the plugin update breaks something to be able to fix it.
  7. Security Updates (Monthly)
  8. Plugin Updates (1-8 times a year per plugin)
    – Be sure to set aside time for if the plugin update breaks something to be able to fix it.
  9. SPAM monitoring (Weekly)
  10. Site Database Backups (Daily to Weekly)
  11. Full File Backups (Daily to Monthly)

We recommend that you plan ahead for this time or work with us to help maintain your website.

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?2018-06-16T06:58:08-06:00

Search Engine Optimization(SEO) is all about helping to get each page on your website found on the search engines like Google and Bing. When you optimize a page for a keyword or phrase you are making it easier for search engines to read and understand the content you are providing. This allows the search engine to provide the best content to the individuals using the search engine. The more optimized your page is, the higher it will return on the search engine results page (SERP) and the more likely you are to have searchers click on the link to your web page.

There are many aspects that go into achieving good SEO. Technical SEO looks at the code behind your website and makes sure the layouts are easy for spiders and search bots to read. On-page and off-site SEO refers to how your site’s content is seen by visitors and how it is referred to by other sites. The lowest hanging fruit that is under your control is the written words on each page of your website. By providing well written and focused material on your website you will be light years ahead of some of your competition. For all the detailed oriented and technical aspects of SEO, be sure to ask the team in SeeMe Media how they can help you move up in the search engine results.
